Nancy Blockyou led another successful cupcake decorating workshop. This time the focus was on Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Mindy Poehls led creative Card Making workshops in September and November. Back to school included highlighting Bluestem books and celebrating Pirate Week with rock painting. WPLM hosted a welcome event for anyone who wanted to drop in and meet the new Superintendent.  The Sangamon Astronomical Society helped us prepare for the historic solar eclipse that occurred on August 21. Thanks to the NASA @ My Library grant we gave away nearly 1000 pairs of eclipse glasses to the Williamsville Middle School, Williamsville Junior High, and members of the public.  Summer Reading participants who achieved Level 3 were able to put their name in their favorite book. These are just some of the successful young readers.  The WPLM local history display about Rt. 66 was featured as part of a Rt. 66 tour.  WPLM always hosts a Book & Bake sale in coordination with the All-town garage sale and clean-up weekend.  |
