Thanks to everyone who came to explore and discuss local history. This photo was quite popular on WPLM's Facebook page when it was posted after the event.  Nancy Blockyou hosted a cupcake decorating program where participants put together cupcakes that looks like other types of food like popcorn and mashed potatoes.
Thank you to Gail Leonard from the Decatur Genealogical Society for hosting our Introduction to Genealogy Research workshop. We will look into hosting a follow-up event since many attendees would like to do more research. On March 6, WPLM hosted many activities for kids with the day off of school, including playing minecraft and watching The Angry Birds Movie.
On February 25th, Melanie Danielson from County Market spoke healthy eating for your heart and brought samples of a chicken salad recipe and seasonal fresh fruits.
Thank you to Springfield Uketopians Joan Stevens Thome and Barb Lanier for hosting two ukulele workshops for all ages on January 21st, February 18th and March 4th. Mindy Poehls lead a cardmaking workshop on January 26th. Participants made these four beautiful cards. |
