We stayed open late for finals week and powered the studying with snacks! WPLM celebrated Veterans Day with a special WWI presentation and display by Paul Osman. Later in the month we also hosted a Toy Preview event for families to test toys and games before going shopping for the holidays.  As a part of the NASA @ My Library grant WPLM hosted Space Day. Participants made aliens with UV beads, used green screen technology, played, and learned about our universe. WPLM always participates in Trick or Treat with the bonus of a free book! This fall the new Fireside Creations group was launched. Nancy Blockyou led another successful cupcake decorating workshop. This time the focus was on Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Mindy Poehls led creative Card Making workshops in September and November. |
