Seeking a Part-Time Library & Museum Coordinator


Job Title:  Library & Museum Coordinator
 
Start Date:  February/March 2024
 
Days/Hours:  Mondays, Wednesdays & Alternating Saturdays
(Occasionally additional/different days)
 
Job Duties:
  • Perform library circulation duties such as checking items in and out, helping patrons request items, and shelving items
  • Organize museum information for upcoming displays
  • Assist with installing new museum exhibits (approximately one per year)
  • Plan and create educational stations, kits, and events for kids
  • Plan and coordinate special events for library and museum
  • Design flyers to promote WPLM events, materials, collections, and services
  • Promote WPLM events, materials, collections, and services through displays, newspaper and newsletter articles as well as WPLM web site and social media
  • Research and write grants for continuation of funding and new funding
  • Partner with community organizations and local schools
  • Other duties may be included based on candidate's special interests & abilities
 
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree or 3 years of work experience  
  • Experience with k-12 formal or non-formal education or homeschooling and local community involvement are ideal
  • Experience with Microsoft Word required; experience with Publisher or Canva is ideal
